My Story

I’ve worked around the world, across multiple industries including medical devices, defence, automotive, renewable energy and deep-tech start-ups, helping take products from early research and feasibility through to manufacturing and market launch.

My curiosity in engineering started early — from taking things apart to learn their secrets, alarming my bedroom against sibling invasion, bugging unsuspecting family members and racing homemade electric boats with my friends. That curiosity led me to study Engineering at Durham University. Here, I developed a broad foundation across all engineering disciplines, collaborating with students in Spain, India on research projects before progressing to begin my professional career at BAE Systems as an electronics engineer working on cutting edge national security products.

Over the years my role evolved from electronics design into broader systems engineering, combining embedded software, hardware, and mechanical design, often leading multidisciplinary development teams from the front with a combination of technical management and hands on engineering.

Much of my work involves designing complex embedded systems — integrating sensors, high-speed electronics, IoT, AI, wireless communications and power electronics — while ensuring products meet regulatory requirements and are ready for scaled production.

Some projects have been hugely successful. Others have taught me lessons the hard way. Both are incredibly valuable experiences that shape how I approach engineering today.

With 15+ years working on complex product development, I’m still curious of new technologies and fascinated with the challenge of turning ambitious ideas into practical, robust technology. That’s ultimately why I started Ordonix — to bring that experience to a wider range of companies who need help designing and delivering embedded systems.

Today I work with startups, entrepreneurs, research teams and established organisations to develop electronics and embedded systems — from early concept and feasibility through to production-ready designs and ongoing support. My broad experience allows me to cover many aspects of product development, including design, technical leadership and verification.

When a project requires additional expertise, I draw on a trusted network of engineers and specialist consultants to ensure the right skills are in place to support the work.

If you're developing a new embedded product or tackling a challenging technical problem, I'd love to hear about it.

I help organisations turn complex ideas into reliable technology that works in the real world.
